if Maiden wins, the only other band that could beat them in the Elite 8 is Agalloch, and the only other band that could beat them in the Final Four is Burzum.

I have no doubt people love Maiden, but I also think people are voting for them on sheer principle. Which isn't against the rules, so carry on.
