Saturday Headliner Announcement:

Awesome! Thanks Glenn! You've outdone yourself again! I hope to hear him do some Ark songs! Too bad that Tore Østby isn't playing guitar for him. But I am happy that Jørn-Viggo Lofstad (EDIT: I just checked the site) is playing guitar for him though! I'm also going to check out more stuff from his other bands as well. And don't worry. We got your back w/ the bitching and naysaying!

Thanks. How about watching my back when they start calling me a pussy over on the Brave Words forum when the news hits there? :tickled:

Heheh...just let me know who's ass you want kicked, my friend.

Oh and my bank account hates you because I only have like 4 of the albums listed on the Jorn page here...now I gots to buy a bunch more!

That's great news Glenn. I think you made the right decision. If he also brings Jorn Viggo with him, you won't be able to drag me away from the stage either. Certainly nothing against Tore (who is an icon in prog/power metal) but JVL's work with Pagans Mind is some of my absolute favorite guitar work I have ever heard. Stian is also one of my favorite drummers of all time, so if he can bum a ride along as well, that would be great.

I know the Nevermore people are disapointed (sorry but... :) - but I sure ain't....

:headbang::worship::headbang::worship:

I am so totally stoked........ you are The Master

(is his backup band going to be exactly what is listed on the BIO page??
Lofstad from Pagan's?? And MORTY BLACK FROM TNT?!?!! :yow:)

Thanks for pulling off something surprising and awesome like this, Glenn. I was sorta hoping for Masterplan, but I think this is going to be even better. Looks like I have some CD shopping to do this week. I'll might have to start a new thread later tonight asking for suggestions. Thanks again, Glenn. Rock on!

This is my first post on this forum, but this news was so overwhelming i had to throw in my excitment. Last year was my first PP, and literally was the best experience of my life, so I was coming out regardless. But this news has definately made my year.

Going into this Progpower, I had 3 bands I really wanted to see this year. Those being Pyramaze, Mercenary and Pagan's Mind. I got 2/3, and then EVERGREY thrown in there (along with some of my other favs, Olaf and Stomen, etc), and then NEVERMORE.

Although I was dissapointed with Nevermore's cancellation, I have already seen them 3 times and KNOW I will see them again within the next year, so I knew someone exclusive would be thrown into the mix. So what do we get instead? JORN LANDE!! WITH JORN-VIGGO LOFSTAD FROM PAGAN'S MIND!!!!! I get to see yet another one of my guitar gods, sharing the stage with one of my favorite vocalists from timeless projects!! You have made quite a number of us here in Maryland shit ourselves with this Monday Morning announcement! Thank you, Glenn! I knew you would quickly overcome from last week's blow! Cheers!!! :)

:hotjump: :worship:

T H A N K Y O U!!!!!!!!! :D:D:D:D
I was hoping to see ANYTHING from Lande this year. Well, and may I say... nothing better than you announcing JORN LANDE himself.... wow.. :D:D

YAY!

My poor poor husband, stuck at that wedding....

LOL, while we're all listening to prog he's stuck watching people do the chicken dance and Mambo #5.

Life is unfair sometimes.

Looks like my Jimmy Buffet guess was wrong :)

Cool. Was hoping for Tore Ostby though, that'd have been sweet.

... I need to know who gets the dry cleaning bill for my pants after this announcement.

I love Nevermore, but I think Jorn is a MUCH better selection for PPUSA. Good work, Glenn!
