Does anyone think the new Satyricon cd, Volcano is really good. I personally find it an excellent cd from what ive heard(every song but 'Black Lava') and i cant wait for it to be released in the United States.

I personally think that every Satyricon release save "Dark Medieval Times" is pretty mediocre, and DMT isn't exactly a classic. "Volcano" is just shitty rock music disguised as black metal, to an even worse extent than Dimmu Borgir or Cradle of Filth.

Black Lava was the worst song on that album by far. Could a song be any more redundant? It's not a bad album but it really didn't have a lot of repeatability for me. I haven't heard it in probably 6 months.

I think "Volcano" is terrible, but all other Satyricon CDs are excellent (Yes, even "Rebel Extravaganza," I don't see why people hate it so much aside from the gay title and dumb album cover.....oh well)

I think you'll find that it's actually the title that is gay and the album cover that is dumb.
