just put the Sword of truth, wheel of time and a song of fire and Ice books on my tablet, which series should I read first? i'm thinking about leaving a song of fire last so I don't ruin the show when it comes out at the end of the month.

Yeah I dunno I heard the others we're pretty good besides the Sword of Truth books which are supposed to be meh.
I also picked up some of the Diablo books since the lore to that game is actually pretty cool and I read The Black Road a long time ago and it was awesome so hopefully the others will be good.

Strangely, I find the fairly terrible TV series way more entertaining. Possibly due to the sheer amount of primo T&A.

Wheel of Time was a really excellent concept (being almost entirely ripped off from LotR and Dune) that went horribly awry somewhere around book 5. Totally worth reading the first one though.

The Wild Cards series (George R.R. Martin) and the Vorkosigan saga (Lois McMaster Bujold) continue to be excellent 15+ books in.
