judas priest/anthrax in Champaign,Illinios. Anyone from the surounding area going???

What´s that crap with seats, you always got over there? What ever happened to moshing about, or going to the bar in the back in a weak moment?

If only it wasn't a week day...I could go for some Dos Reales after the show, or even hit up Murphy's.

Because Assembly Hall is the University of Illinois basketball stadium. Therefore, there are some seats.

I'm assuming they are doing the "half stadium" set up. They pretty much rope off half of Assembly Hall and put the stage at center court. Saw Pearl Jam with that set up. Not really any bad seats...even up in C section.

It´s just that I´ve NEVER had to think about getting a seat or something like that at the concerts I´ve been to.
It´s always been 'standing up' concerts. I have been at some concerts in sports arenas, where there have been seats, but these have never been reserved or anything, if you wanted to sit, you´d sit....
I guess seated concerts are mostly an american phenomenon....?

Ahhh...I see. Yes, when you buy a ticket to a non-general admission arena here, you get an assigned seat. So, if you want to sit near your friends, you all have to buy tickets together. Most arenas will have a general admission area on the floor, but the rest of the tickets are for the seats.

EVERY SEAT IS GOOD WHEN THEY CUT OFF THE ASSEMBLYHALL. I'M ANXIOUS BECOUSE IT'S MY FIRST TIME SEEING BOTH BANDS!
