"no, you!" in a very outspoken but sterile way.
now, if you don't find it funny, fine. but he assumed you would see the joke. the fact that you could be somehow sick never crossed his mind. he could have picked any other topic, for instance if you had told him he was witty, or incomprehensible, or macho.

@Onyx: I would just say, as I did in one of the other threads, to not take ANYTHING personally. Even if someone was blatantly trying to insult you, ideally it shouldn't effect you. But I think you know this. The hard part is to figure out a way for you (by you I mean anyone myself included) to let words bounce off harmlessly. Everyone has difficulty with this to varying degrees. But it's something to consider. My method is too convince myself that I truly AM pathetic, so that with any insults thrown at me, I will often laugh at. At least thats what I try to do, although sometimes unsuccessfully. And I'm sorry if I'm stating the obvious (or looking into this too much.) Happy reflections.
omg what is this, a children's course in internetting or a test on my tolerance? if someone enters a forum in the internet he or she should be grown up enough to track down the basic rules of engagement by him-/herself. also, said person should know how to tell irony apart from real insults, and should know that it's basically totally irrelevant what some blokes on the net throw at his/her head.
