Wah wah wah. I'm just posting up my opinion, drop a complaint in my PM box.

Why would you opinion in this thread matter anyway? Would anyone expect someone who has your musical tastes to be into a band like Isis? Do you think the starter of this thread wanted the opinion of someone like you who mainly listens to old-school metal and has little appreciation for anything outside of that? I can't even believe someone like you would have even listened to any of their stuff. Seriously, how much of their music have you listened to? If you were looking for an opinion or a recommendation wouldn't you want it from someone who's actually a fan of the band or someone who's at least heard more that 3 minutes worth of their music?

And as long as I'm here, I haven't heard anything from either Oceanic or Panopticon. I heard some stuff from their Mosquito Control EP which I've heard since back then is a lot heavier than what they do now - and I wouldn't even consider it that heavy. I guess they're new stuff (from what I've heard) is something you have to sit through to appreciate. Something you have to spin a number of times to get into. Not really my thing.

TRIUMPH OF LOGIC

Yeah they still have heavy riffage but its much more progressive and melodic now... very emotional and less of just head banging type of stuff. their songs build up better than maybe any band I've ever heard. I guess they're not a band I would except most metal heads to like. Most fans of them like music from many different genres.

you're on topic? the topic wasnt "recommend me bands." He simply asked "should I buy an ISIS cd?"

My original post: No, he shouldn't by an Isis Cd, he should buy INSTEAD Helloween (ON TOPIC)

Your proceeding post: DUR DUR DUR HELLOWEEN IS TEH GHEY (OFF TOPIC)

I'm aware that I'm now off topic, but I'd just like to point that out.

1. Please, pull your head out of your ass. I listen to a lot of music.

2. I've heard Oceanic, Panopticon and a handful of their stupid remixes. I'm sure that warrants my having an opinion on Isis.

3. You know what? It's overly defensive idiots like you that derail these threads, not guys like me.

I'm sorry, I take opinion-requests to mean "Do you like this band?" rather than "Do you like this band? Only answer this question if you like this band."

Considering he didnt ask for reccomendations of other bands, you sholdnt have brought up Helloween in the first place. if someone was asking about ISIS why the hell would you reccomend Helloween? Two totally different styles.

i think this topic is done anyways

Shhhhhh, I answered the question. I merely took it a step further by suggesting a more artistically skilled band that would better suit one with a decent taste in music.

MY OPINION: No, thread starter, by no means should you buy an Isis CD; I shall cite the reason for the validity of the previous statement being that they suck. Buy Helloween as an alternative to Isis.

Note: If you're pissed off at this post, you're looking at the screen too hard.

1. That's fine. You wouldn't know it by your attitude towards people here and your constant negative remarks towards others and their different musical tastes and favorite bands, though.

2. It does. I wouldn't have expected someone like you to have heard much from Isis, though. Can you blame me?

3. Probably. I just felt I needed to point out at the time that your opinions on Isis were just the byproduct of your usual attitude and demeanor around these parts. Like I said, I wouldn't have guessed someone like you would have given anything by Isis the time of day.
