Well the forum has become such a cliquey microcosm that the effects of opinion leaders and peer groups are very evidently. It's its demise ultimately. Everything is so streamlined.

If you don't counter everything that isn't basically a cliquey private discussion with food-talk or anything else that is nothing but synonymous to a sign of disapproval by the OLs, you're either being ignored or face hostility.

I don't really complain about that but I think it contributes a lot to the demise of quality in this forum. Dead Winter is one of the few for example who "doesn't play by the rules" and he gets nothing but mockery for it.

When people list music related things on Ebay and include 10 other band names in the description, so all sorts of bands pop up in the search results. Wtf? Is the purpose of this so that maybe I'll see something else I might be interested in? I guess that makes sense but damn I find it annoying that when I want to search for a specific band's shirt or something, I have to sift through so many other band's shit. And I've found that if I search with quotation marks then not all of the relevant items will appear. BLAH.
