Stupid thread, but tell me if I'm alone here...

This Is Not An Exit = A New Level
Stealing From A Thief = I'm Broken

not silly at all dude, those songs are prime examples,a few songs on stomp 442 have a strong pantera vibe, scott having a randall makes the tone sound alot like dimebag.

one more thing,is riding shotgun the most kickass song ever?

I've never thought about that, I can see some similarities.

But the riff from Metallica's St. Anger sounds like a rip off This is Not An Exit, just a little faster (except for the end of This is Not An Exit, where they speed the riff up, sounds almost identical sometimes).

stealing from a thief is a great song, but i've always thought the riff sounded exactly like something dimebag could have written. i think it just has to do with anthrax touring with pantera at that time and being indirectly influenced.

Stomp 442 is incredibly Panteriffic. That's why I love it. Everything in metal was stolen from Sabbath, KISS, Zeppelin and the Who anyway. There hasn't been anything original in years. Maybe the new Radiohead, and RATM 10 years ago, and FNM, but really, it's all the same shit.

Creed ripped Stealing From A Thief off on Weathered record. I think it's the third or fourth song. But the opening riff is exactly the same.

I think Charlies playing style is a lot like dimebags and since Charlie has a lot of input on the Anthrax albums, I think this is a no brainer. Anthrax and Pantera have some similar songs and riffs. An I also agree that Pantera would have some NFL like riffs and not the other way around. Great topic "LouieFatterson"!! \nn/ :Spin:
