Since we're on the "Opeth's riffs" binge...

...What bands out there have riffs that you think would fit in cetain Opeth songs? I'm interested i hearing, because I think many people have different perceptions about what makes opeth's riffs great. I'll post some after I get to think through my CD collection...

Some of the riffs on Emperors Prometheus seemed very Opethy... Like the riff in The Tongue Of Fire, the riff that occurs twice, and fades out at the end of the song.

Agalloch, Grey Skies Fallen, perhaps. Some early Amorphis.

I can't think of any. Opeth are nothing if not unique so nothing really comes too mind for me...

Agalloch's "She Painted Fire Across the Skyline" is rather Opeth-like.

Voivod has similar stuff to the post-MAYH albums.

The first riff in Thy Serpent- A Traveller of Unknown Plains (Sounds sooooo much like early Opeth) some of their other stuff sounds like Opeth too even though they are symphonic black metal.
Tool reminds me of the song Blackwater Park to some extent.
Vintersorg has some very Opethy riffs.
Agalloch at some points.
A Dead Poem era Rotting Christ.
I could think of a lot more if I wasn't soo lazy right now.
