I've heard all the hype on RiB, but it doesn't do anything, really, for me. There's like 2 or 3 good songs, but the rest are just filler material, half the time I can't even tell when the next song is playing.

I agree with the previous comments about Hell Awaits, although I think the album sounds more dated than anything else. Bad production doesn't help it. Always liked the title track, Kill Again, Praise of Death, At Dawn They Sleep, and Necrophiliac. The other 2 tracks are very weak, IMO.

My favourite album is Seasons In The Abyss. I think Slayer's best album is either Hell Awaits or Reign In Blood.

DI would be better if the album stayed at one volume. Some of the songs are mixed different, even the band admitted is sounds weird.

I'd have to say the opening title track on Hell Awaits is one of the strongest album openers ever.

But it's too bad that the most of the album isn't on par with it...
That's why we have RiB, SoH and SitA

What about "Divine Intervention" released in 1994? The opening track "Killing Fields" is great!

Fav though is South of Heaven. First Slayer album I really liked as a kid. I'm sure everyones heard the Children of Bodom remake of "Silent Scream"?? Right?? If not, it's great also.
