anyhow, that doesnt change the fact that yesterday Stoiber (candidate for presidency in Germany) again came out with that forbidding videos and movies thing while the other political partys wanted to have better control of shooting clubs and tightening of weapons law! this crazy guy is a hunter himself I´m sure (every bavarian "centralistic or rightwing" politician has to be) and don´t want troubles for his friends (the hunters ...)

CS is ok, but the new patch is just awful. It made it so camping is way easier and trying to take out campers is way more difficult. It's the exact opposite of what CS needed. They're trying to make it more realistic, but realism isn't what the game needs. If I wanted realism, I'd join the army. End of rant.

This Slipknot thing is BS, we all know that. They tried the same thing at Columbine.

Oh and I saw a "serious" news broadcast about how Doom made the Columbine guys insanely good shots. Uh, hello? Doom had auto-aim, you only had to shoot near the guys. You couldn't even look up and down, how'd that train them to be great shots? I laughed and cried at that one.

Give up. We've always been the scape goat for everything, even though, in my opinion, rap music is about a million times more violent. Whatever. It's not going to change unless someone sets out to change it, and I havn't seen that happen yet.

Everyone uses something as a scapegoat because most people aren´t able to look inwards and find the REAL problem. I find it incredibly ignorant when music, television or video games are blamed for when children go off shooting people. If there is quality parenting then no matter what a person subjects themselves to it´s not going to influence them to do something stupid like killing other people.

This gets my vote for best post of 2002 thus far. Agreed in full.
