Brasília - Brazil
Hello my friends, i quite don't like to create a thread to ask for something, but i need an advice.

Well, i'm from Brazil, and in my country is really difficult to find those amps (SLO100, VH4, ENGL savage), and now i have the oportunity to buy any of those (but just one), cause i'm going to the US, but i'll have to buy it before I travel, so i'll pick it up when I arrive. I'll not test them, thats why i need adivice.

I saw Ola's VH4 video, and HOtrod video, prefer the soldano sound.
Is the SLO much different?
Is it worth?

I own a dual rec, 6505 and a marshall jcm.

I'd actually pick the Hot Rod 100 Plus over a VH4. I've played both and much preferred the Hot Rod.

6505 and Hot Rod are VERY similar sounds. I don't know how much having both would benefit you.

Pardon the rough mix, please:

PRS Custom 22 and PRS MM Baritone (one track of each on each side) for rhythms --> TS9 --> bone-stock SLO100 --> Rivera k412 (V30/T75 x pattern) --> Neumann TLM103, SM57, SM81 summed to one track.

Cleans and overdubs were done with various guitars through a Rivera K Tre Reverb through the same cab.

For the record, I've plated nearly everything you can get your hands on (that isn't super boutique stuff ala Dumble or something crazy) and the SLO100 is probably my favorite amp. Haven't had it fall short on anything.

^^ SLO 100 has an effects loop.

@OP: I would go for the SLO 100, that's just me on the premise that I have never heard a VH4 tone that I have ever liked.
