And I'm quite pleased. The sound is really good, the band played very well, even the vocals were really good (sorry but they sucked when I saw em live).
The only complaint I have is about the filming. Don't they know how to hold a camera or what??? It's really annoying to watch the DVD, it's better to just listen to it. The guy who directed the video images must have thought it was one big MTV clip. The shots change approx. twice a second, sometimes even more. And I'm not exaggerating... You simply can't concentrate on what you see.
This ain't the band's fault though, so thumbs up to them! I enjoyed it.

I think (99% shure) it's only sold as a box set. There is no way you can buy it seperate from the cd.

well......how is the fukin unreleased track??????????????

If you mean ‘Wait outside’?
It starts with a stonerrock kinda riff (nice groove, sounds great) and it's in the vein of chrome/ help me disappear/ march 4.
A nice track but not a monument.

Hrr. Im already shaking. Im keeping my fingers crossed all the time, just to hope that 'Black Sessions' has arrived to my mailbox when I get home. Can't wait to see the DVD and to hear the unreleased track.

No documentary, just the concert.

Btw, I noticed something weird. During Teargas, there's a moment where you can see Fred Norman tuning his guitar, while you can hear the chords being played (same chords as during intro). So it must've been added afterwards, or it was pre-recorded, or it was the director who put a wrong shot up there. He does play it during the intro. Anders plays the high notes btw.

any documentry in dvd?

Dont forget everyone....they are walkin around with a handycam all the time now.....this live footage is just that......live footage.....the later to be released DVD will be the shit....full of behind the scenes stuff....so untill then we wait to get a glimpse of what lies behind Katatonias (for now) closed doors..... ;)
I cant fuckin wait for that shit!!!!

Got the box today and watching the DVD now! I like it! The filming is not as flashy as I 'feared' after Cerulean's comments, it's not overdone if you ask me, there's enough time to focuss on the shots. Though a bit slower wouldn't be bad, like the Opeth DVD, that one's done really nicely.

Aaaarrgghhh, Murder rulezzzzz!!! \m/

Argh, are you serious?
Especially in Murder it's so bad I can't watch it. As if all the camera guys are bumping around or something.
I also noticed other amateuristic stuff like once there is a shot where a camera man moves his camera in squares so Jonas his head goes from corner to corner... wtf :hypno:
Anyway, at least the picture quality is perfect...

Actually, I watched it just once and I was listening more than I was watching. But I think the 'fastness' of the shots is not overdone, in some parts it's fast, as in some parts of Murder, but not all the time, there's enough variation.

I got my copy today, too... The DVD was a slight disappointment (after watching it twice) and the CDs don't add much to my collection. BUT the box looks great and so on, so this was a must have for me at least. I think the shooting (production and all that shit) of the DVD isn't that professional/good that I would've wanted it to be on a Katatonia release. But hey, I suppose the K guys must've had a good reason to postpone the official DVD release and release the Polish gig as 'a bonus'. I mean other besides the longish bit of Daniel giving the camera the finger... Compared to the Anathema DVD (shot at the same location) it isn't as good IMO. I'm sure, though, that the official DVD will be a kick ass release, so we just have to wait for it... And Murder....... it SO reigns!!

Just had to say my own opinion about this new piece of work.. It rocks soooo big time! I love the chorus and can't stop listening this track at the moment. :P
