So, I just quit my job

it'll be alright.

It's not like the absolutely horrible guest lecture I voluntarily sat through regarding the history of translation of the Aeneid into Russian.

Why the hell did I ever do that one to myself?

I envy people who can have a gob and study. I'd love to have a job but I really can't cause the university takes too much time (sometimes we have classes from 7am to 7pm)

I think with many people it's not so much that they can, it's that they need to. I know people who wish they didn't have to have a gob (sorry, couldn't resist :) ).

Edit to make friendlier.

My job gave me recurring thoughts of suicide at one point and constantly pushes me closer to being an alcoholic. It pays 3780/month. Any takers? :) I'm due to quit in the Spring and they'll need staff that aren't fucking idiots.

well I probably don't need a job because if I needed one I would have to quit medschool (it's really physically impossible to have a job spending 8-12 hours in university every day). all I said is that if I could I would get a job because I wouldn't mind a little more income - with scholarship as ridiculously low as it is my life is not exactly a balsam

eh, i need a job too, but I don't have the time now, with school and shit, considering that i have 4 AP classes this year and i still need to do good in school.
I don't envy people who do good in school with AP classes and still having a life and a job and a car. I envy people who don't have AP classes, drive daddy's Mercedes to school, have money in their pockets, fail history and still get into an Ivy League school on daddy's bank account

Don't hold your breath for any job Will, I was promised/told/lead on by a major corporation for a year and a half. I had my doubts from the beginning and kept my nose to the grind stone, after several trips in for interviews and "orientations" they called me up one morning I was leaving to go up north, I showed up at the office with my boat in tow, a pair of scraggly jean shorts t-shirt, barefoot with a beer in my hand , wandered in and told them to piss off. On the way up I found a newly vacant building in town perfect for a shop at a steal, and three days later a friend who works at a bank here took me to a house that was coming up for auction that I now live in. When one door closes another opens..But if'n I were you I'd be looking out straight away for another place to workee... and what's this Guitar Center crap I see... Guitar Center is for the lose.. support your local music stores, not the wal-mart shit hole of music stores.

Thankfully we are blessed here with mid michigan music, where you can wander in and buy a Boogie of your choice, or an Orange, Bad Cat, Marshall, Randall, Gibson, Jackson, Ibanez, BC Rich, Fender... on the right day you can even buy one and get the next for a penny. You don't have some idiot with a zit on the end of his nose who just dropped an amp out of a box from three feet and puts it on the floor anyway give you the dumb cow look when you ask for a pack of strings for a seven string. Or try to argue with you when you ask for a 65 bass string because it won't work on a guitar when they don't have them. Or the "let me get somebody who knows what your talking about" when you need a volume pot.

<--- ESP fan. There IS a dealer about an hour away, I hounded the owner until he got a cherry red F-250 in stock, which I quickly snapped up :)

Yeah, well thats for ESP fortunately. I'm saying he's the ONLY dealer thats authorized for anything other than Ibanez in the area.

<--- ESP fan.

GC never has any ESPs, sometimes a couple really shitty LTDs (not even the good ones, and I like LTDs) I know the local samash has 2 beautiful ESP Eclipse II guitars.

Ryan, the guys at guitar center are usually older. they need sales people, usually really experienced with everything. For those of you that bad mouth guitar center, everytime i go in there I talk to people that REALLY know their shit and are always really helpful. The last time I was in there I was with Bill (sirdidymus) who was trading his bass cab for a new guitar cab, and the dude was really cool. He used to play bass on the road with some band. We were talking with him for a good hour, and he ended up giving him alot more than expected for his trade in. And just about everyone Ive talked to in there has really helped me with shit. The local shops around here seem to all suck and not give a shit about anything.
