I've now grown into enough of a man to truely appreciate Manowar. Hail to England is just suberb and Bridge of Death is one of the best song I've come across lately. I, like so many else, was convinced (based upon their looks? ;() that they sucked, but how wrong I was since they ROCK.

Though I myself look like quite the poseur, I have to add:

I've got a mate called Leigh who's absolutely fucking obsessed with Manowar. He has every last release they've ever put out, damn near every random piece of merch, he's even visible in the fan convention on the new DVD where they do that gig where every former member comes up and plays with the band. He is constantly playing different Manowar songs at me, trying to get me to like them, and every single one I've heard has done precisely zero for me.

In other news Manowar play here in Wednesday and their current setlist for their european tour so far features songs like "Secret Of Steel", "Mountains", "Each Dawn I Die" etc., not to mention that they play for over 2 hours. Can't fucking wait for it.

Aha! In a "rock club" I often go to they have this back room which exclusively plays old school rock/metal. They ALWAYS play this song, and I never had any idea who it was!
