This is my first post on Royal Carnage, and Ultimate Metal in general. I frequent the boards though, just never post.

Mmm... as for what I do when Ultimate Metal goes down, well, since I had nothing to do I finally got around to listening to this Empyrium CD that showed up a few days ago. I bought it because it was in heavy discussion on this forum and because of the review uploaded to the site. And I've gotta say, I had such an erection by the end of it I had to watch some porn to get rid of it.

:hypno:

Which Empyrium? I mean, any of their 4 albums are certainly bonerific, I'm just curious as to specifics. :D

Hi Deron, I'm sorry you cried, honestly I did too. :(

At one point I was so bored I went looking for peaches.

Songs of Moors and Misty Fields.

It seemed everyone who bought this album around this form fell in love with it and I was curious as to why. I really want to hear their other three. Badly. But at the same time, I want to give this album as much time as it needs to fully sink in.

Get "Weiland."

I'm between projects these days, so I'm at home looking after wifey. However, these days our 12 year old niece from MA is staying with us to help out and so I took her down to the American Museum of Natural History. This is probably my favourite museum in the world. And I love the fact that it is smothered in great Roosevelt quotes all over the place, the best one being along the lines of "This planet was not given to us by our parents, but loaned to us by our children".

That's nice. Good to hear that people are reading our reviews and being encouraged enough to follow through.

I know what you mean about wanting to take your time with Songs of Moors before getting more Empyrium, but for some reason, I have less will power and rushed out to get their whole collection. Still, I spent so much time with Weiland, that I didn't realize the greatness in all their other releases.

Anyway, I second what Caleum said - if you're going to get another Empyrium, get Weiland, but know that all the "metal" elements have been removed, and you're left with....well, you can read our other review for that. A few words here wouldn't suffice, heh.
