So who saw 300?

/\ Yea people are looking at every minute flaw to debase the films' awesomeness.

"The 7th spartan in row 19 on the far right had too much lighting on his chiseled chest that I was gawking at with glee. Oh if it was only darker to leave something to my imagination, ewww so sensational" WTF?!?!

Stop over analyzing everything, you'll enjoy life more.

I went into the cinema knowing what to expect - a highly-stylised depiction of an historical event overblown to mythic proportions - and enjoyed it accordingly. Compared to the opposite approach taken by a movie like Troy (which took mythology, removed all the epic-ness and supernatural elements and presented a faux-historical war movie), we ended up with an energising, blood-and-thunder bout of kick-assery.

The pit was the entrance to the catacomb where all the imperfected infants were laid to rest after they took the tumble down a Mt. Lacedaemon cliff. Which was merely a ritual, not a place of eternal slumber. Two squires stood idly by at the bottom with a gurney to transport the discarded toddler to the catacomb where his flesh would soak in minerals and salts blessed by Aphrodite.

hahahaha I love how they have a bottomless pit in the middle of their city for NO REASON WHATSOEVER

if you paid attention during the film, he said: you'll find plenty of earth and water down there. So it's not really bottomless.

Holy shit, watching Møøse own this thread brings a big gay tear to my eye.

Movie still sucked. Comic ruled.
