MASTODON Confirmed For BIG DAY OUT Festival - Sep. 28, 2009 Atlanta progressive metallers MASTODON have been confirmed for the 2010 Big Day Out festival tour of Australia and New Zealand. The festival will have day-long events running in Auckland, Gold Coast, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth from January 15 to January 31.

The dates are as follows:

Jan. 15 - Auckland MT Smart Stadium
Jan. 17 - Gold Coast Parklands
Jan. 22 - Sydney Showground
Jan. 26 - Melbourne Flemington Racecourse
Jan. 29 - Adelaide Showground
Jan. 31 - Perth Claremont Showground

I'd maybe go to this if I knew someone who was going. Might just settle for Soundwave though, sit through those emo bands for Faith No More (unless they do a stand alone gig, which ain't gonna happen).

Bowie was rumoured as a BDO headliner, that is all I know about him coming out.

Hmm, If i was gonna splash the cash it would probably be for Soundwave to see Anvil. I read somewhere that all the bands on this line up have played BDOs before and didn't Karnivool tour here recently?
