Pretty sure I will head up there for the last show of the tour and have a bit of time out on the gold coast.
How far is the Riverstage from Surfers?

The Riverstage isn't a theatre, it's an outdoor venue in/near the botanical gardens in the city.

Good traffic your talking about 35 mins drive on the freeway from surfers.

So it's outdoors.... What sort of sound do you get?
I usually don't rate the sound at outdoor venues compared to theatres...
What's the capacity? And can ya get close to the stage? Seated?
I tried to find a website for this place but couldnt

I dunno. Depends if there's some massive psycho sell out situation I guess haha.

But I'd say they could probably add an extra one before the melb date, one after sydney and maybe one after Brisbane. I doubt Perth or Adelaide would warrant announcing second shows.

I've never been to a show at the Riverstage so I can't comment on sound or capacity or anything like that.

OK apparently the Riverstage capacity is around 9000, and the sound is generally good.

I think all these tours are really just a conspiracy by record labels to rain on the parade of communities like Maiden Down Under and OzProg by taking away their biggest reason to whinge.
