that's it...know the real meaning can be a shit...

this is what happened to me:

i was listening to "the night and the silent water" and i thought that the lyrics were about a girl who have died or something like. Ok, weeks later i was reading an interview with Mikael and he said that the song is about his grandfather who had died.

conclusion: i didn't like it in several ways.

fuck

I think what he's trying to say is that it ruined the meaning of the song for him, which I can understand. It's like telling someone that it can't mean what they have interpreted it as because it's something else (ie, what that particular person has interpreted it as, be it artist, critic or audience)

It's like someone telling their 18 year old boy "Son, i'm not really your father... in fact, im not even a male"

:err:

Simply because it means a certain thing to Mikael that doesn’t make Ectoplasma’s interpretation less suitable. I suppose it might be easier said than done, but hold onto your interpretation.
