I think I did a thread like this in the old forum, but I was just listening to Enchant's "Juggling 9 Or Dropping 10" and thought I'd give a bit of an hommage to a highly underrated band (and a local Bay Area one at that!!).

The song "What to Say" has got to be hands down the most emotional song I have ever heard (for me anyways). It's the combination of amazing lyrics, great melodies, emotive guitar solos, and of course Ted Leonards soaring vocals that complete this package. I seriously tear up every time I hear this tune. What a masterpiece.

Check it out...

The look in her eyes as if to say she fears nothing
All knowing smile as if nothing has changed
She thinks I'm asleep while at night she goes on trembling
She thinks I don't know how her life's been rearranged

Can't move my arms, can't move my legs
Can barely move my eyes
To take in the last view I'll ever see
It's on the stand beside my bed a picture of my son
It's constantly staring back at me
Want to tell him that I swear that if I can I'll be there
Watching over him and every step he takes
How do I say soon comes the day when I must go away
What would adhear to a seven-year-old ear?
Words that would make it clear

I hope that you don't forget me
Don't let my memory fade
It's my greatest fear

My back is numb, my feet are cold
I fear that it's only a matter of time now
There's just one thing
I've got to muster the strenght to say

Know that my love is forever
Know that and try to remember
Don't let my memory fade...

I forgot to add that the reprise to that song ("Know That") on the disc is a great acoustic bookend to the record.

So there ya go:headbang:

The Star Spangled Banner. Call me a dork, but it brings me to the brink of tears every time I hear it (makes it interesting at Sharks games  I usually sing along so as to try & maintain composure).

This is true I can attest to it!:)

THE GOOD OLE USA!!!

This reminds me... anyone watching John Adams on HBO? Great so far... Cool story of the birth of a nation.... Really brings it to life... Paul Giamatti is cool. And the way they made David Morse in George Washington was brilliant.:kickass:

Sounds like a good topic for a new thread. I could go on and on about this. I posted my thoughts on HBO's "In Treatment" the other day, and John Adams has officially caused me to miss all of the "In Treatment" episodes this week because I am hooked! Paul Giamatti has come a long way since playing Kenny 'Pig Vomit' Rushton in Howard Stern's "Private Parts" movie.

Oh, and, I agree about the Star Spangled Banner in most cases. But the Opera Fireman guy that sang it at the NY Giants game (first football game played after 911) really got to me.

Still Got The Blues - Gary Moore
The Great Escape - Marillion
A Bridge Across Forever - Transatlantic
Find Your Way - Airtime (Rik Emmett)

"Second Love" by Pain of Salvation off of Remedy Lane.... Goose Bumps almost every time...

Ooooh!!!! Oooooh!!! How about the ever-so-emotional guitar ditty "Falling" from The Perfect Element I ? Seated in a dark room with just that song playing can make your soul weep. There's something about Daniel's songwriting that can cut so deep.

Mi Mancherai by Josh Groban
His voice + the violin parts give me goosebumps every time.

"Angel" by Sarah Mclachlan....

Gets me every time, especially now that there is this heartbreaking ASPCA commercial with it. That tune coupled with the forlorn looks of those poor animals cripples me every time.

Oh my gawd dude! I have to mute that commercial when it comes on, or I'm just a mess for an hour afterward. Amazing song.

"Parisienne Walkways" from Gary Moore's Blues Alive (CD version. Not the video version).
"The Messiah Will Come Again" by Gary Moore
"Where Were You?" by Jeff Beck. This is one of my favorite songs ever! I just don't have the words...

Pink Floyd

One of these days from the Echos album.

"One of these days I'm gonna cut you into little pieces.............."

Brings a tear to my eye everytime I hear it.
I'm so sensitive :-(

The first thing I thought of was Eric Carmen's "All By Myself". And not the top-40 edited version...the original cut with the whole piano solo in the middle. I used to spin that one on a regular basis in high school.
