most of the times it is songs, but if an albums turns out great as a whole, then i prefer it this way of course! But that seldomly happens.

An album should be a collection of songs that should (through sound, style, quality, etc) connect to provide a certain atmosphere. I absolutely hate when I love a few songs from an overall subpar release

both.. or that one which is better.. eg a good song is just better than a bad album and a good album is better than a bad song, like

if an album is really superb then it wins over a couple of good songs. tho there are not much albums like that around so i go for the nit picking option.

Songs generally. I seldom find a whole album interesting but it happens sometimes. Even on most Anathema albums there are one or two tracks that seem weak to me. Not on A.N.D yet :p

i regard Ocean Machine by Devin Townsend as basically one long song...

but mostly i'm more bout sole songs, tho directly-following tracks should be complementary to the previous one.

thing is i dunno much albums i love from first second to last second like. but i could name you a few songs i love everything about.

well if you hear the right song from each band, you'll probably end up adoring all musicians! so songs are bad, misleading evil things.stay away!.....on the other hand the new style of vinnie beats every song or album, innit?
