Was gonna call this "hey sprucey" but didn't want it to be confused with the other "hey sprucey" thread.

What was the Contiki tour you went on last year (or early this year, whenever it was)? Cos I'm going on one on January 1 in Europe. Not the same one, but I'll be going to most of the same places I think.

ANYWAY, any good shops I should check out, music-wise? There ARE??? Cool, which ones?

I went on the 16 day one called something Wintery.... Winter Escape or something like that. Or maybe it didn't have winter in it at all. Escape sounds about right though... European Escape? Nah. I dunno.

Hmm.... Nah, I reckon you're better shopping at JB for music before/after you go. The prices over there are up the ding ding because of the exchange rate.

If you are going to The Leaning Tower of Ham and Pineapple, there is a stall just around the corner that sells cheap ass band t-shirts. I got a Maiden one for 2 Euro or something like that. We just all bought one and wore them for the group shot in Florence which is organised as part of the tour.

How long is your tour? 16 days was about the right length for us. By that time, you start to get over the early mornings, late nights, and most of the other people on the bus.

Mine kicked off on Dec 28ish from London and went Amster > Germany > Austria > Switzer > Italy > France. Something like that.

Mine is 16 days - European Encounter. Was that your one?

Longest Contiki I've been on is 12 days or so, so 16 should be OK. I would like to go on one of those 50 day camping tours they do though, that would rule... for a week until I got sick of it. But still sounds fun.

Yeah... That could be the one I did.
Sounds familar.
And I think it's the only one that is 16 days.

We rule :headbang:

Yeah, fuck the 50 day camping thing right in the ass. That would blow.
Are you going with anyone?

Nah, all by my lonesome. Well, apart from the others on the tour. But I'm all by my lonesome to start with.

Yeah, listened to Rapture once so far. Not bad, nothing special though. I-Gill's voice sure ain't what it used to be. Poor bloke.

Yeah, his screams are a bit cringe-worthy these days. I don't know why he has to have them in every song he sings. Sounds terrible.

Still, Rapture of the Deep is the best song they have done in years... Possibly since Sometimes I feel like Screaming. Love the riff.

I actually leave on December 25, but the tour starts on January 1.

The idea of flying on Christmas Day really appeals to me. Hopefully there's next to nobody on the plane.
