starting with guitar - floydrose or not?

being a beginner you prolly have no real understanding of string tesion and tuning etc, so stay well away from the rose. I've been playing bout 10 years and it still takes me hours to set a rose'd guitar up! I find I never really use mine either! Well only for dimebag style harmonic dives. so go fixed my man!

That will allow you to have hardtail and half-blocked performance available at the flick of a switch, but it will only 'fix' the tuning problems when you've disabled the tremolo entirely - leaving you with an overly complicated and expensive fixed-bridge.

but none of those kinds of systems will make rhythm guitar tracks sound as nice as a fixed bridge... there's still just too much wood missing with a floyd system. i use fixed bridge guitars for rhythm tracking.

yeah this would be a main reason for me not to buy a frtremolo'ed guitar...

i never recorded a frt guitar but the srings through body guitars sounded best in my opinion

edit//and not to forget that guitars sound good because of wood, pinkup, strings and the players :)
