well, I knew the name was schtolen from your dutch sinterklaas, I was just making a reference, no need to cry smeelol 
yet I think the real santa claus, as we know him today, was from finland... you know, fat fukko, likes kids, funny custom, drunk face, likes to give gifts for free yet I'm not really sure about his intentions

what do you mean? we celebrate xmas the 25th of dec? nope. But we of course celebrate the new year's eve.
If you mean do we celebrate our new year (in the Muslims calendar), not really, we just take one day off, mom cooks a special couscous, and that's it. At least, that's how it is in Tunisia, dunno about middle east lol.

so you don't have something like a christmas day but with some muslim icon or some shit so you have that day in the year when you get gifts and get a family dinner and such things?
that fukken blows! I don't care about the whole religious aspect of that day but is a cool time to spend with friends and family and be good and happy for once... even when there's always family fights

ahhh now I got it (i think), yeah we have two occasions where we have family gathering and all, it's the first day after Ramadan ends, you go meet your friends and shits, kids usually get brand new clothes specifically for that occasion and all, it's called Eid ul-Fitr. The other one is in few days, called Eid Al-Adha, when we slay sheep or cow, kinda sacrifice, some families go to see each other but no mine, casue we're busy with the whole slaying and meat thing (i know stefan2 will love reading this
), it's the same occasion where Muslims go to Al Hajj.
