stefan86's offtopic random retard thread - post away!

Lol Wikipedia took this down already...but for a couple of awesome days on James Hetfield's page, his occupation read "Musician, songwriter, producer, table."

I think everyone internalizes things in different ways...it doesn't sound too out of the ordinary. I kind of shut off when my high school friend went into a coma. I wasn't outwardly sad about it, but I had a hard time making sense of the world for awhile there.

Sorry about your loss, chin up champ.

My coma friend woke up, and now she's a total cunt. Just ask Phlegethon.

a guy i knew drowned a few years back, grew up a couple blocks away from me. he was a year older but we had similar friends in high school.

knew his name starting when i was probably 6, and we were somewhat friends in late high school. he went to university and eventually so did i. i read about him drowning in the paper, and i oddly felt nothing about it.

another guy died of a heart complication, went to high school with him but never spoke to him. i think i lack a certain part of human compassion, unless i am really close to someone, i have no real problem accepting death.

sorry for your loss adam, everyone deals with things differently. sometimes i find it helps to force yourself to feel something, just so it won't dwell in your mind.

I hardly think you're lacking. Most people are completely indifferent to death outside their inner circle. There were a couple deaths while I was in high school that I couldn't help but laugh about because they were so stupid...but I don't think that means I'm missing some component other people have.

I think we're just immune to bullshit lol.
