Flesh To Steel
I have a tale to tell about Water where I live. I was for a short time I water testing guy, I went from place to place on call testing people's water and seeing how much random shit was in it. In my own house right now, there is almsot twice the amount of chlorine in my water than there is in a well cleaned swiming pool, and enough random metals and sediment that when you isolate it from the water it leaves about 0.25 cm of scummy shit at the bottom of a standard 16x150mm test tube (they are about 6 inches tall and narrow). 0.25 cm of material might not sound like a lot but this is one small test tube with a small amount of water. An actual full size glass of water would probably look like the bottom of hot chocolate when you leave it to long and the chocolate settles at the bottom. Of course if you don't actually put something in the water to make the metals settle you never see it so most people don't know it's in there.
So I ask, have you ever seen a pool and thought to yourself "Gee that is ideal water for drinking, I just love chlorine in my diet"? Because here in Windsor we drink more than that, and that's not including how many other chemicals it goes through. At least Flouride has been removed from it. Also if I fill a plastic bottle with water and I leave it for about 4 hours and then take a sip, it tastes "stale" and almost smokey. I can't find the right word for teh flavour but it's not pleasant.
On the bright side my parents house in a small town has nearly perfect water. When I go to their house and have a glass of water it always makes me do a double take because I've forgotten what clean water tastes like (basically like nothing).
We live in a disgusting world. I need to get out of this city.
