stefan86's offtopic random retard thread - post away!

Frankly Borderlands visuals are more advanced than most games.... It's called art style man, the actual poly counts, lighting, physics and tech behind it are quite advanced, especially when you look at the scale of the game. A buddy at work said he refuses to EVER play Borderlands because he doesn't like how it looks. I told him to go play the Modern Warfare campaigns if he wants shiny graphics wrapped around a shallow as fuck 4 hour game experience. If that's all you want out of a game then you're missing out.

Even if the art style did bother me I would never let that ruin one of the most well crafted franchises in FPS games ever. I don't feel that's an exaggeration.

i have an epic hangover too, bacon and eggs are hopefully gonna cure it

and yeah haha, graphics are not important, if they were i wouldnt still have a snes hooked up

exactly, mine had this weird goop spilled on it (not semen i swear), it stuck the reset switch in place making it unusable. like 5 years later it chipped away and now the reset works again

Why would they make borderlands 2 a great game, with a good "story line" and everything and then go and make the graphics worst than games from 2004?
 ….
 what to even say, when confronted with the dumbest statement ever
From what I’ve seen for him and Monoxide it calls the other to the plate in an attempt to up the ante on the stupid statements.

Yeah, objectively speaking the graphics in borderlands 2 are great. Subjectively, I love the art direction as I know most gamers do. Of course people are entitled to their opinion on it, however the majority of people that bash the art direction seem to be of the ilk that have only seen short videos and or screen shots and haven’t played the game to be immersed in it.

I like Skyrim.

Well said, agree completely. Borderlands has done something that, to the best of my knowledge, no shooter has really done before; and the art direction only adds to it's goofy appeal.

I don't think it's possible to be off-topic in an off-topic thread, as there is no topic...unless the topic is "off-topic," in which case the aim is to be off topic...but in being off-topic, Caleb was actually on-topic? Man, this is a quandary.

I guess what I'm saying is shut up Jocke.
