I'd say that about The big bang theory. Exclusively for "smart" people, yet 95% of the worlds population loves it.

Also I'd like to say that Big Bang Theory is NOT a smart show for smart people. It's a relatively simple and geeky show for your average person that either laughs at or genuinely relates to the nerd humor. I guess in that respect I could say Seinfeld is a smarter show, it's just not that funny. I've tried to like it I just can't.

For smart comedy I guess South Park is a pretty high contender as weird as it sounds.
