Stoner Rock for the Summer -- any recommendations?

It rules because I found those links in your rec. thread. :loco:

I'm listening to this shit again right now, FUCK! It's way better than I remember, and I remember it being pretty good! :kickass:

I'd be amazed if this didn't make my top 10 list this year.

amazed I tell ya.

Did you listen to Pale Divine yet, fux0r?!

I listened to Wolfmother today, at first I was completely agreeing with Zod but after a few tracks I started to get into it. Then it was 5pm so I got the fuck outta Dodge. Will listen again at work tomorrow, definitely promising.

I'm tempted to pick it up on the way home.
the only thing I'm freaked about is, if an album is at target, that means its mass media, and mass media means 100,000 sixteen yr olds are going to be having it downloaded, and if they hear me playing it, they'll be like, woah, that old dude likes wolfmutter, so it can't be that good, and then their career will suffer , and it will be all my fault :loco:

I listened to it again. The music is solid, but I don't care for the vocalist. He's not bad a bad singer, I just find his voice annoying.

Zod

EDIT: Just finished listening to those three songs. Not bad. Not bad at all. I'm not sold on them yet, but I'd be interested to hear more.

No, should I go by the samples you posted or am I having your assistant send me over a CD-R of the entire album?

It kinda hit me pretty quick, just because I'm sold on the vocals (obviously they're the standout), but then the music follows and it all becomes good shit for a sunny day. And man has it been sunny...!

anyone else on hear heard any Dead Meadow? I thought BWD said they were popular with college students these days or something

i bought their album Feathers pretty much blind and it has a very nice, mellow vibe that probably isn't even close to what JK is looking for! damn, i'm useful!

Ok twats, this one is perfect spring/summer music (well it's beyond that)
DEAD MAN - S/T
Not stoner rock, heavy rock etc, just 60s psychedelia influenced rock, crazy going and really inspired guitars and classic feeling. Some of you will worship it.

Wolfmother took me about 5 listens to appreciate, and now I groove on it every now and then, but it's getting too cold down this way for such music. I don't care for their total oversaturation in the current popular music "scene", but fuckit, it's better than 99% of the shit they play on the radio.

I don't watch or read mainstream media, so to be honest, I didn't even know that Wolfmother were so popular.

I'd like to buy a shirt with their album cover art.
