I don't know what to say. It's just creepy and exciting at the same time.

I've heard something similar to what is in the clip from Poland, but at the time I thought it was a train horn in the distance. Still could've been a train in my case, but whatever is causing the noises in the videos is interesting. The noise in Budapest would scare the hell out of me though

+1 at Jeff's quote!

There's a pretty big construction site in my area atm, they got a machine there that drills huge and deep
holes and puts steel beams in there, the first time I heard that machine working was while I was like 2kms
away from the construction site and it sounded fucking strange.
So even if there are strange sounds, it may be something pretty normal, because the sound of the machine
was completly different if you were there, I just drove by that machine once and realized how much the
sound changed as soon as I got away from there.
Due to the location of that construction site, you could even hear the sounds in the forest here without
seeing the construction site, if you don't know about the construction you would probably be very irritated
of that sound...

Oh and lots of videos like this are just plain fake

All those clips and not one person filming makes any commentary about it or starts freaking out?

I also listened with headphones and a lot of the footage in stereo, the "sound" seems to be in mono...
just sayin.

Sounds almost exactly like metallic resonations from a vibrosledge:

Problem solved... nothing to see here... :)

I'm pretty sure the sounds came from the movie War of the Worlds or something of that nature. Tons of these vids have been going around for a couple of years now. They're fake, period.

HA ! I just remembered the strangest noise i heard in my life.
It was few years ago in the middle of a summer and at night and all the time from about 22:00 to maybe 05:00 very slowly changing location.
I couldn't sleep because of the noise, so i decided to take my dog for a walk and check what is it that makes the noise.
I found it more than a kilometer from where i live... it was a big road machine that removed old asphalt whole lane at a time grinding it to very small pieces.
IT WAS LOOOOOUUUUUUD !

The more developed is the world, the more cameras in hands of almost every citizen, the more such reports we will see.

^^4:45, they quote the Bible. Guaranteed horseshit.

My favorite part is when they talk about strange lights that can be seen "from every part of the country."

The UK is fucking small; of course you're going to see a bright enough light from every part of the country.

There is probably something like 1 or 2 billion people with regular access to internet. Probably half of them are dumb enough to trust into something as stupid as this. There will be people hearing a train from a distance, recording it, thinking it's 2012-apocalypse related. Also, must be so easy to troll.

First video, comments :

"I believe it has something to do with the earths polarity. We have been hearing a noise similar to a jet enjine throughout western new york which lasts about 20 minutes."

That's good enough to back up my first sentence.

^ @video : I will always be amazed how hard will people try to give a meaning to random things. The "tsunami clouds" made me laugh quite a bit. So there is a wind from the ocean, therefore very humid, hitting skycrapers, hence climbing and condensating. How surprising. It's unusual it is "that" perfect and wave-looking, but that's pretty much about it

I also calculated, most central place in UK, if you want a light to be visible from the whole place, it needs 33km of altitude (not super sure about my calculation but it sounds about right). If you just want it to be seen from half the distance, it only needs 4 times less (square root) so from about 8km high you can be seen by the whole "dense population" part of england, for example, if sky conditions are perfectly clear.

I have seen the whole iberic peninsula once from the air, at night, perfectly clear sky (a front had passed and washed the whole country), and lights everywhere to make it easier. I could spot Barcelona before I reached Madrid.

it's electromagnetic... caused by a radiation belt from the aurora. hence, the reports coming mainly from canada.

or, it's jesus.

Most reports are coming from eastern Europe.
Anyways, several reports in the US and UK have been linked to industries pressure testing various equipment.
These sounds can be heard living in any area with industrial sites, building sites, radio towers, train tracks and more.
Most of them how ever use samples, as you might have noticed most videos are mono with stereo sounds, or vice versa.

I know what this is...
