Actually, the funniest shit I heard as a metalhead had nothing to do with metal at all. I was walking downtown with my wife, wearing my bellbottoms (yes, I have a pair, so fuck off) and a retro shirt, and these kids cruise by in their car and yell "Phish sucks!!!".
I replied "I know!"
Simply because I had long hair, a beard, and clothes made in the '70's they assumed I was a hippie. Of course, here in Nebraska, I don't think most people have ever heard of a metalhead.
