Suggest band ideas for HC 3

I think the burden of proof is on the accuser, actually, and you're accusing them of being NS, so :loco:.

Haha, ok Judge Judy :loco: But come on, I mean are we seriously defending them here and their NS band ancestary? I think it's pretty evident, no? Lyrics aside, the fact is, they don't exactly disassociate with NS circuit.

And if Drudkh can't play Heathen Crusade because of the band members' (not the band's) ideology, then that's outright bullshit and makes me lose a lot of respect for what the whole festival is about. I mean, they better never consider bringing in Destroyer 666 then due to KK Warslut's beliefs.

I have no idea about KK Warslut -- do tell -- but again, why would metalheads want to be standing shoulder to shoulder with nazi dumb fucks?

Anti-religion extremists are likely to show up at pretty much any Extreme Metal concert. I don't think it's fair to discriminate against bands whose members may or may not hold beliefs that are generally frowned upon because of certain people that may or may not be more inclined to attend due to their appearance at the festival.

I would say that promoters don't give a shit about that sort of rationale, I'd say it's more to do with their perogative of not wanting to attract that element to their shows.

Otherwise why not go all the way and book Screwdriver?

Probably has more to do with protecting their $$ at the end of the day, with all the folk who would refuse to go to a show sporting NS bands.

You know what? There was a lot of bitching and moaning about this in the days leading up to Nargaroth's show in Toronto a couple weeks ago. I did not see the problem. The major metal promoter in this city, Inertia Entertainment, refuses to book bands if he even so much as hears rumors as to them being NS or racist or whatever. This is such a fucking load of shit. Thankfully, the show went ahead, and I saw many people of colour there. I don't think they had any problems whatsoever.

I understand this responsibility of the promoters, but to be honest, this is metal. It attracts fucked up outcasts more often than not, and other aspects of metal lyrics and ideology are similarly touchy. Singling out one distinctly anti-PC issue and allowing it to make such an impact is not something I want any part of.

Are Nargaroth NSBM? I wouldn't know.

Yeah, I hear what you're saying but the reality is, we live in a world where it's perfectly acceptable to be anti-religion simply because people choose to be religious. [/same old argument]

Nargaroth isn't NS related at all as far as I know.

Oh, and about KK Warslut, he has a swastika on his chest. I can't find a picture of it, but there was one magazine article that had a picture of the band with KK without a shirt and it was clearly visible. And people who've talked to him at festivals have attested to both the tattoo and the ideology accompanying it. So why shouldn't Destroyer 666 be ostracized as well? Only the band member is NS, not the band, just like in Drudkh.

Well, he is... he expresses the views (not as much as some NSBM) sometimes in his music...

Though, it is a rumor that it is all just a joke.

I don't even think people know about KK Warslut's views. That's all news to me anyway.

@Necuratul: But you still haven't explained why Drudkh the band are not NS? It it soley based on lyrics?

Also, I think metal was established pretty much on the grounds of being anti-establishment and anti-religion (namely Christianity) so it's had a good 30 years to nuture itself....the whole NS/nazi element crept in very recently.

I don't believe that Metal was actively established as anything. Sorry, I think Vic is a fucking idiot and full of shit.

And Drudkh has never done or said anything as far as I know AS A BAND to suggest that they are NS, so why should I call them NS? Because the people are, and have been in an NS band? How ARE they NS? You keep asking me how they're not, and I keep telling you that they haven't done anything as a band to suggest that they are, but what makes you think that they are AS A BAND?

Who the fuck is Vic? :tickled: Vic Rattlehead?!

I wrote an entire post....sharing band members with Hate Forest, Astrofaes, they have a FUCKING T-SHIRT that says "music for white folks" or some crap....what more do they have to do?

And yeah, metal wasn't 'established' in the manufactured sense, but it was only a matter of time before Sabbath came out and kicked that hippy shit to the curb. Because let's face it, Sabbath are basically just evil sounding hippies, and hippies absolutely were anti-establishment and anti-government.

All of this doesn't change the fact that Drudkh would be an outstanding addition to the HCIII lineup. Do any of you honestly think the show would turn into a KKK rally or some shit? What the fuck are you people smoking?

The band members' personal ideology and their past bands have nothing to do with Drudkh's ideology as a band, sorry. Rob Darken is NS, but Graveland is not.

As for the shirt, I know nothing about that except what Dark One just posted:

See, I'm really confused with that because someone told me before that they weren't associated with that crap written on the t-shirt I have by them. Someone else then mentioned at HC II that they weren't NSBM as well.

HELP!
