And i gotta say its one of the coolest amps i every bought, even though its a damn solid state one!!
If your into Sunno))), The Melvins, or anything remotely drone/stoner/sludge or grind, this is serious amp to look into!

yeah, i'm loving the thing too.
I saw Rise&Fall ( www.myspace.com/riseandfall13 ) play with this amp a few times, and every time i left with a beep in my ears (eventhough i wore plugs) and everybody including myself was raving about their guitarsound.
So i bought one for 250 euro's from some hippy, and eventhough i knew it was cool i didn't thought a solidstate amp could bring me so much fun!! :)

They are on Ebay regularly and go pretty cheap most of the time, just keep an eye out ;)

Seriously. Would you have guessed that it was solid state? How would you have known? What if he were lying and it really used light bulbs but you just couldn't tell the difference?

Solid state can sound good. Deal with it.

did you liked r&f live? i saw them twice and was disappointed twice!

Rise&fall is one of the few bands (converge must be the other) that allways gets me siked up as fuck at concert, i haven't seen them suck a single time!
But i heard they had a period/string of gigs were it wasn't as good as it could be.. maybe you picked up some of those shows..
 
Yeah I love R&F from cd but I wasn't partially able even identify the songs... weird!
Maybe not the music I enjoy live...haha... coz I found converge sucked too the same evening... but I'm getting very off topic!

actually it was pressure fest but yeah first day was

I agree, very cool tone, Ive always felt some solid state stuff was very usable, Most of the trouble ive ever run into was when one guitar player is playing a tube rig and the other is playing solid state its very hard to get an even sound

so you bought it :D. I saw it online some time ago when i was searching what sunn amp that rise and fall guitarist was playing trough. He has a sweet setup with that jcm 800 2205
