I find it difficult to sweep with it, someone have a good tip? thanks:headbang:

I am using jazz III for a long time.I havent got any problem with sweep picking at all and i think its a very good pick and you can do sweeps easily with it.Try the different picks if u want but im sure thats not the problem.

It'd probbably be easier if you hammer on the 9 and then uppicked the 6 and 7

I've seen that excercise on a website somewhere... I can kinda play arpeggios but I can't sweep for shit. :erk: :erk: :erk:

I use a Fender California pick... don't remember if it's medium or heavy... but it is green.

But can someone answer this question, when you're sweeping a lick, do you sweep the upper tone in the lick upwards or downwards? The lick i showed you earlier, please tell me in detail how you play it.

If your going downwards, sweep downwards. If your going upwards, sweep upwards. So you upwards sweep pick the 10th fret on the high e string (d), hammer off to the 7th fret (b), sweep upwards to the 7th fret on the g string (d), and now you turn around and sweep downwards and same thing for the next part. I understand the concept of the technique of sweeping, but I can't do it. You have to glide your pick through the notes, but not pick the notes individually, so you gotta have good left hand/right hand coordination to pull it off cleanly.
