SY-X Fans...Just curious..What do you do for a living!!

There's kind of a backstory to that, and I'm not being more specific in case this knowledge isn't public.

Anyway, you all have some very interesting jobs. A lot of scientists among us here.

Can I bother someone in the scientific community here to explain via private message, string theory. I find that fascinating but difficult to grasp.

I'm in charge of a luminic artifacts' factory sector. All of the guys now can say what Symphony X is... They're welcome! :D

My field gives killer robots their vision! Google "3D Flash LIDAR" if you want to know about real and working terminator technology.

My toaster told me they are planning something big soon.

My company also provides the cameras for the robots especially the ones that are being used in battle....

Well, I've got a day gig as an admissions rep at my college (where I graduated with my Bachelor's in Guitar Performance and will probably be starting my Master's degree at this Fall). More importantly though...I teach 30 private students a week, do the musician thing full time (I play in 3 cover bands for cash, and I've got my original project which is my main focus these days), do some guitar repair, pit-orchestra work, session work, etc.

Quality Engineering Specialist.........only female in my field that I know of. Engineering degree, advanced programmer, etc. Get to program machines, set up ways to collect and manipulate data output from them. Design and build, or have stuff built, to do other stuff with. Work hand in hand with computer programmer (just happens to be my genius son) to create ways to do other cool stuff. LOL Geeky girl gets to do fun job in male-dominated field. Win........
