Sydney meet-up

Or, you could steal one of those velvet ropes from the Sheraton and put them across the entrance.

I don't think I'll be able to make it to the Novo on the night - I don't want to start the night by losing my friends I usually manage that later in evening, lol.

However, I'll be in Sydney from Friday. More specifically down on Enmore Rd, Enmore on Friday around lunch and hopefully make it into the city in the afternoon. I hear there is talk of a photo of Maiden fans on the steps of the Opera House... could be fun...

Its been suggested we could try to do a dinner at a fine establishment (yet to be decided) with some of you nice folk that (fri) night? Then again it might be in your best interest if you dont meet me, after all, my family name begins with a capital T:heh:

Right, you're all going on the 9th except for Spiff. Are you doing anything after the show Nigel? I might need some help getting back to the car

I get into Sydney at approximately 12:30 and am guessing I'll get to the hotel at 2pm at the latest, unless I get lost on the trains. So I think I'll be available for beverages and such from around, say, 4 onwards, after I get myself all tarted up for the big night.

You're going to get through arrivals, get on the train at domestic, change at Central for Lidcombe, change at Lidcombe for Olympic Park and then walk across to your hotel in an hour and a half?

Seriously though, if you're settled in by 4, you'll be doing stupidly well.

Yep, I'm confident, but because I don't like your attitude I'm not going to tell you what time I get to the hotel. So there.

I think I underestimated how long the train is going to take. I'm too used to staying in the CBD! Stupid Acer Arena - if they'd played two nights at the Opera House all would be sweet.

By the way, on Saturday night I'll be the chubby guy in the ill-fitting Maiden shirt w/ Eddie as a Grenadier guard (the shirt they did for the London shows on the AMOLAD tour). Hopefully I'll be the only one with that shirt on and I get lots of gay metal guys commenting on it.
