That, at least, should be removed from that your list. THere are great differences between the sub-genres when it comes to vocals. In power, death vocals are (usually) extremely bad. In death, power vocals are (usually) extremely bad.

The difference here is the vocals actually are bad.

I don't know any of this band's songs aside from their radio stuff, but I'm curious, on what song do they rip off I am the Black Wizards and in what way? I think I have a vague recollection of hearing about this a year ago or so.

I always thought they had more of a Dead Kennedys influence than anything - like a metal DK.

I think the guitarist should stick to backing vocals, he's not that good in my opinion.

Well, as for the whole metal/non-metal argument, I'd call them alternative rock. Its just alternative rock gone mainstream. I do like their stuff because its simple, varied and interesting. I can see why people don't like it, but its different and I like different.

I didn't mind the first two albums but the more I listened to them the more I began to hate them. I think the songs are constructed in such a way that they are trying too hard to be different than regular pop bands. And the vocals are too nasale, after awhile they just plain pissed me off.

Blond bimbo bombshells singing about boyfriends may even be better than System of a Down and those weak ass 5 individual note solos their guitarist plays. Just as terrible as any other pop band.

I thought SOAD where fucking great. Untill I saw them live at last years Download festival. The bastards didn't acknowlege the crowd at all.

No "This is our last song". No "Good bye".

Part respect to them, they're a no horse shit band. Just getting straight on with the music. But they came off as pretencious ass whipes.
