What's the most backwater, porch dwelling, racial spewing city that you southerners have seen? I want to know my origin.

Of the places I've lived, I'd say Iowa was the most racist.

I've only been to Arkansas once, on the way to New Mexico, but I did not like it.

Why do you say that? I'm from Iowa, and I think it's ignorance or stupidity the most, or really not know what is racists or not because there are so many people live on farms and don't see many other people.

I don't really find it surprising at all. In my experience, generally it seems as though most surface racism stems from ignorance. The most people from Iowa see of blacks is on Cops, getting arrested for smackin' bitches and smokin' dope, so through this myopic lens of race relations, it's not surprising that they would see those people that way. This isn't true just for backwater areas. I have found that the most upscale neighborhoods are just as bad, since they tend to be predominantly white and have little exposure to minorities as well. I grew up in a neighborhood of minorites, so I hate white people.

You are right, although as I live in a predominatly white town, there isn't any racism at all, probaby because of the mainstream culture right now; moreover, when I at the universtiy, it seems more predominant because of the kids who live on the farms.

Racism is teh funnay on the interweb but in real life it's in bad taste and reflects a lack of education and critical thinking skills on behalf of the racist.
Fwiw, if there was a term to describe a legitimate gripe, it would be "culturalist". Racism, to state the obvious, blankets an entire group of people with a particular skin color whereas culturalism is a bit more grounded in factual observation.
Funnay story: the wife was in line at the USPS recently and some old well-dressed black dude saw some scraggly pants-around-his-ass black 20-something and he said, "That is a my pals right there. That's a my pals, folks." hahahaha

From my experience the vast majority exhibited racism more than in other places I've lived. There was only one black guy and one asian in our entire school and they had to suffer through fairly constant verbal abuse (and maybe more for all I know, all I saw was the verbal abuse). But it was when a sign was hung outside the school that said, "No my pals allowed!" and was left up for most of the day that I really realized how bad it was.

Hey dude Im from Iowa too I aint seen noOne for darn years.. just cattle and the inside of this shack. I hear of these outsiders comin in and sayin us farmfolk are racist and shit. but as far as I am awares, we aint got to many negroes around these parts anyhow... and if their was then we could put them to work. I hear of this faggot shit going on outside, people sayin we are all racist an all and we have sex with our animals and cousins and sister and shit ? thats unknowing horsecrap!.... That doesn't really have to do with race directly, just circumstance. The fastest men in the world are plainsman of African decent, because people from that area have long legs and are built for running/traveling in the huge open areas of Sub-saharan Africa, just as Nepalese (if that's even what you call somone from Nepal) are built for climbing and breathing in thin air situations, that's why Sherpas are always along for Everest expeditions.

Just a couple points:
1) There is no such thing as "race". It's something humans came up so they could subjugate other humans. There is no "genus" of blacks. For fuck's sake people. It's embarrasing.
2) That said, no one has ever been able to prove that certain characteristics of certain groups of people are a result of evolution or environmental adaptation. Those arguments always end up being circular.
