Yea, saw this when it came out. Pretty cool in a very strange way. I like the mixing of two things that might seem to be opposites. Kinda of edgy or something. Glad to see it resurface.

it's on the Undead Indeed DVD disk #2. hell of a combo, metal & ice. kinda cool. the dvd features set up, rehearsals and performance of this show. pretty neat to see.

Heavy Metal On Ice was a charity event which drew over 4000 spectators in the Kuopio Ice Hall in a frosty night in January 2008. Initially the plan was that Johanna Rusanen, who is a national level opera singer living in Kuopio was due to perform some opera classics and also front Tarot performing these selected songs from the band's repertoire.

Unfortunately she got sick with a bad flu and lost her voice just a couple of days before the event, so Marco had to step in to replace her. And no, Marco did not sing any of the planned opera classics that night... Was it a pity or a blessing? :Smokedev:

Actually a few years ago many figure skaters and skating teams used Nightwish's music from Once in their performances, even at the World Championship competitions. So skating to Tarot's tunes wasn't so wierd an idea, IMO.
