First that came to mind was Opeth's Watershed. Say what you will about the recent 3 prog rock records but at least they're good for the style which they were written. You can tell on Watershed though that Mike was running out of ideas/inspiration and getting tired of the progdeath schtick. By far the most forced, uninspired and disjointed Opeth album released.

Rocka Rolla is a great fucking Priest album. Their real clunkers are called the Tim Ripper Owens era stuff. Jugulator and Demolation are fucking trash.

Death - Spiritual Healing. I felt it was kind of a boring album. .

Mayhem - Esoteric Warfare. Its a snoozefest

Mastodon - Once More Round the Sun. In fact , any Mastodon passed their album Blood Mountain sucks hardcore.

Soundgarden - Down on the Upside. I felt this is where they started to get dull, and definitely full of hit ot miss material.
