Testament or Megadeth

I wouldn't exactly say Metallica was as original as you're painting the picture to be. And Testament sounds NOTHING like Metallica. Megadeth SHOULD, since Mustaine wrote half the 1st 2 albums.

Apparently some metal history lessons are in order.

I said they pioneered the new generation of metal...they found a new audience for the genre. I never said they were so original. See, I disagree...I think Megadeth is quite unlike Metallica. I think The New Order sounds just like Metallica...vocals and all. My 15 year old son asked me if that was Metallica...and he's pretty well versed in metal for a kid.

Testament didn't release The Legacy until 3 or 4 years after Kill 'Em All. 3 years is more than an entire musical career for most bands.

Yeah...I need lessons from you...wow...heavy metal lessons from some dude in NJ...where can I sign up?...what a ticket to success!

You think Testament sounds nothing like Metallica...it's a matter of opinion and what you want to believe. I'm sure many of your people here would disagree.

Apparently lessons are in order, starting with you.

Yeah, Metallica did what they wanted and the do what they feel like now (they have the Metallica-brand and money as back-up), that´s ok but why do people call you "elitist" or "hater" when you loose your interest in something. I don´t care much for the stuff Metallica has done since 1988. Megadeth has had ups and downs since "Symphony..." and Slayer don´t feel hungry for it anymore. And time will tell how I feel about Thrax new material or Testaments (if they get their asses to the studio). None of these bands owe me anything, they have done some amazing music and played concerts that I´ve enjoyed but if any band writes material that I don´t care for why should I be called a "fucking whining hater"?

Couldn't of said it better myself. And yes Testament is going to start "creating" a new album with Skol and Tempesta on the skins. They said they wanted to start making an album on Live in London under the interview section and just recently I talked to my good old friend that takes lessons from Skol from the Megadeth board and he claims that they are deffinetly going to have it done soon. My guess would be by like October.

Schenkadere, everytime I see one of your posts your in a fight arguing with someone:tickled:

It seems that everyone here is so into this fantasy world that they need to be defensive. They're just bands...we're allowed opinions without being attacked...there's no right or wrong. I was simply stating that Metallica had an earler and bigger impact on metal than Testament and that you can hear the influence. That's all...no need to be belligerent. I doubt that anyone in the music industry would debate that. I mean, it's fucking thrash metal...it's not a fucking symphony...there are influences all over the place, who cares. I'm not even a Metallica fan, but I can't deny their part in the progression of the genre.

Unecessary and uncool...you are a true dick.

Grow up and learn to accept other peoples opinions...you can make your point without being insulting...and stop drawing first blood.

MadeInNewJersey=complete and absolute ass.

Oh boy...can't wait for all the witty comebacks.

Fuck off...cunt.

Ha ha ha, you're such a fucking pussy. And apparently have serious short-term memory problems as well.

Does this comment by you ring a bell? It should, it's only maybe 5 posts up above:

So YOU can be a dick as much as you'd like, but can't take it? Ok, got it. Are you coming to the NYC show Saturday night? Or do you just hang about this forum to antagonize and then whine afterwards?

Obviously your memory is worse...that was in response to you writing that I need a metal history lesson. Oh, sorry...I took that as sarcasm...I guess you were serious...where do you hold your classes?

Anything prior to your little quip was discussion.

You see anything that is contrary to your opinion as antagonizing.

Ah ha! But I only wrote "apparently some metal history lessons are in order," and YOU, poor woebegotten you, felt I was speaking directly to you.

For the record, passing off your opinion as fact doesn't make it right. Just thought I'd point that out.
