I wish it were true, but it's absolutely impossible. You can try asking them for the sources, but I'm sure there are none.
Yeah I will ask em. Are they usually unreliable?

I couldn't tell. Even if they had been, they've completely discredited themselves with that statement.
where are guys like that coming from? So I'm guessing Metallica sold 700 million according to him...
I hope you'll eventually find some reliable sources in your research, but as you can see you have to sift through a lot of b/s.
The 2001 anthology "First Strike Still Deadly" features tracks from TESTAMENT's iconic first two Megaforce/Atlantic albums (which have sold in excess of 500,000 copies combined)

Have you seen this? That's an interview from a year ago. Billboard says Testament has sold 1.4 million albums in the United States during the SoundScan era (1991-2012). As you know, in 2004 they were reported to have sold 1,123,801 since 1991 (sludgescans). That would mean only a 300k increase in 8 years. But when you consider they only had one album out during that time, it's not that bad.
Additionally, they said that Formation sold 84,000, according to Nielsen SoundScan. I don't know how fresh that info was, but in September Eric said it reached 100k (the Decibel Magazine interview quoted by Pascal).
Yeah, it hit 100,000 a while ago, according to Eric who seems to be the best informed person in the band. I hope Dark Roots will do it next year at the latest.
Man you've gotta see these nut jobs. I thought they were just trolling but they legit think Testament sold 60 million and that they're bigger then Metallica in Africa.

They are truly bigger than Metallica in Africa, they even had a tour with Beatles as special guests but it sadly fell through.
Roflmao Yeah! Oh did you hear Megadeth sold over 2 billion worldwide?? Paul Macartney and Ozzy begged Dave Mustaine to tour with them a couple years ago but he deemed them unworthy of touring with him.
Tss, you´re just making stuff up. Why destroy a serious discussion about Testament sales with nonsens.
I'm serious man! Its not nonsense. Megadeth's outsold Metallica in MANY parts of the world. Metallica is more popular in America but Megadeth rules Germany, Africa, China, and South America. And they've never been to China because of their massive popularity, they'd go CRAZY for them over there. Half of the population owns at least 1 Megadeth record. They're worshiped at GODS over there. Dave Ellesfon has his own temple outside Beijing. Also it's "Nonsense" not "nonsens".
