I have been wondering for a while, do most Opeth gigs (i.e. not metalcore SOTU-type gigs) have lots of moshing? When I saw them, it was an underage gig, which wasn't exactly packed choc-a-block, so nobody really moshed, and I was able to just stand there, listen and maybe headbang a bit to the straight forward heavy bits.

Well I doubt it's typical of all their shows cause I saw people moshing in bootleg videos, but when I last saw them there was maybe 15 seconds total during the entire set of two guys moshing to demon of the fall. However when devildriver played before them, most of their fans were moshing like crazy.

there was much moshing at SOTU, including to Opeth... but, as mentioned, it's sorta funny since you pretty much have to keep stopping for all the "slow" parts...
i don't really care as long as i can be away from it and not get hit or stepped on.
the most annoying thing was actually just this stupid guy who would not shut the fuck up during Opeth... obviously not listening and not a fan, but standing in front just the same. Once the moshing began he moved. Hope he got his face bashed in.
