That old hitler's speech kinda tone

A fren requesting me to do this kinda tone which i only managed just the telephone/megaphone effect sound from my podfarm. Fuck.. dis is challenging!

Any of u sound master engineers happen to do this before?

Speaker Phone would be perfect for that but is quite expensive for something that you could probably do with something free - as noted iZotope Viny, which is free, might get you most of the way there. Just play around with the parameters a bit and you should be in the ballpark.

A little bit overdrive/Tape saturation/Distortion + a telephone EQ should work fine?!

A tip before recording:
grab the foil which covered a pack of cigarettes and place it on your mouth while shouting, singing or speaking.
Voila, the perfect "Hitler tone".

I seems to like this speakerphone thing, lots of cool stuff in it. It is sure expensive though. Ive checked youtube and again found this 'torley' dude doing a review on it. Amazing and funny...

Haha, that's exactly what was so cool about it.
Just about how haunting and surreal the experience is for someone like me who was born in the late 80s and is now 21 years old in 2010 to be watching something like that, it's just crazy shit.

Harry, you gotta understand that the Nazi-paranoia (for obvious reasons) is deeply indoctrinated to our society and therefore quite a touchy subject handled with lots of hypocrisy and pseudo PC bullshit. Nothing wrong in being fascinated by Hitler as long as you don't follow his ideology (as you stated - and I'm sure no one would have implied anyway). And he was a gifted rhetorician, one of his most powerful attributes - used in the worst way imaginable.

Here's what you want:

iZotope Trash. Box model set to 'cheap radio' (I love this thing for song FX, it lo-fies perfectly). Then in the Trash/Distortion panel pick some hardcore Tube Draining/Saturating mode and go to town on the Overdrive slider. If it's not nasty enough, crank some 2 or 3k in the post filter.

After this just grab any tape saturation plug-in and slam every lo-fying control you can find.

It's free! Usually all I use to get the effect on this plugin is the lo cut and tape saturation. You can use the other stuff, too, but it makes it a bit metallic/harsh

+1, just record at a low bitrate and highpass/lowpass the shit out of it until you get that "lofi" sound, you guys are making this way too difficult lol
