According to rateyourmusic.com, these are the 5000 worst albums of all time. I have 401 of them in my collection right now! The worst part isn't the albums I have from the list, but how many I saw there that I really want!

Don't worry Anthrax fans, our boys are well represented here!

#1298 Fistfull Of Metal
#1634 Stomp 442
#1945 Vol. 8 - The Threat Is Real
#3533 Live, The Island Years

So according to this, Live, The Island Years is better than Vol. 8 and Stomp 442! Hmm...

At least Anthrax are in good company here! Other metal bands on the list include Slayer, Motorhead,Testament, Sepultura, and Metallica. Many Hall Of Fame acts are included too, like The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, AC/DC, and Aerosmith.

I don't know how serious to take this list since #2157 is Guns N' Roses - Chinese Democracy! How can I respect their opinions if they're trashing an album that hasn't even been released yet (and may never be!!! ) Sure there are some leaked songs, but let's at least wait for an official release before we call it crap!

Oh well, here's the link if your interested!

I don't know whether to be proud of this or not... I've got 441 of these in my collection from the top 1000 alone!

I'm still counting, and I'm up to 786 in the top 2000.

People must have raided my album collection...

Here's my list from the top 500

Damn, how many cd's do you own?

Well, we're talking CDs, cassettes and vinyl (as well as anything I've put on MP3), but at one point, I had around 10,000 physical (meaning, non-MP3) pieces in my collection. I've been collecting about the same amount of time I've been writing about music, which was when I was 15 many many moons ago.

10,000 albums...impressive!:notworthy And I thought my little 1,500 cd collection was something!

Where in the hell do you keep all that stuff?

i can't believe i wasted that much time looking at that. though i was glad to see bannaramma's debut place higher than judas priest's.

At this point, the garage. Believe it or not, I used to keep all this shit upstairs in what I called an office, then moved it to our bedroom when that became the room for our twins.

Final tally - I own 1,611 of the worst albums of all time. No shit... though I'd hardly call Motorhead's "Sacrifice" a bad album.

Almost makes me want to download the ones I don't have, then listen to them in reverse order! :goggly:

One question, though - how could Ringo Starr's "I Wanna Be Santa Claus" NOT be the #1 worst album ever? And I don't remember seeing Yes's "Tales From Topographic Oceans" in that list anywhere - though my memory is now a bit hazy.

I'm gonna bookmark that site!

I still can't believe Judas Priest was even on that list!

actually i'm a big fan of the rocka rolla album. run of the mill, rocka rolla, one for the road. all those songs jam. i remember seeing a few slayer albums on that list to and seeing huey lewis and the news place higher than slayer and motorhead is pretty freaking funny

Yes I agree, that was the biggest load of rubbish I've ever seen, today.

As of today I own 723 cds, 88 were on that list. The Crazy frog album as number one was about the only valid thing about the list. The fact that The Crazy frog Christmas album and the Pokemon tv show soundtrack finished higher than some metal albums and the fact Annihilator was in there 4 times are perhaps the biggest insults. I'll to bet the only reason half any of those albums were on there is because people didnt like the cover art.

To everyone who actually voted that tripe, this one's for you: :Puke:

Motorhead shouldn't be on this list at all. I've never heard a bad Motorhead album!

1,611 ...you have more "bad" cd's than I have cd's!

You know, the kid that played "Corky" from the TV show "Life Goes On"? He's mad a few albums! The one I head should be on this list! Along with damn near EVERY Christmas album!

What's interesting about the list - and I'm not saying I agree with all of it - is that it's not ranked by critics, but by regular listeners. So there may be more of a bias in those picks, but I like the "common person" touch to it, never mind I've been one of those esoteric asshole critics myself for 21 years.

Oh - Crazy Frog as worst album over Kevin Federline and Paris Hilton?!? What the fuck is THAT about?!?

These lists are always up for debate since there really is no such thing as "good music" or bad music". It's ALL a matter of opinion. I find it interesting to see other people's opinions of music, but it rarely sways my opinion. I guess if enough people tell me that something I listened to and didn't like is good, I MIGHT give it another chance, but it's highly unlikely that my opinion will change.

I haven't heard that Crazy Frog album. Isn't that based on a cell phone ring tone or something?
