The Awesome Dream Thread

Yeah, it was awesome because he kept updating people on the situation:

"I am about to ram this fucking truck into Akihabara! Sayonara!" I believe his intent was to kill himself in the process, but he got tackled before he was able to do it. Shame really, as it would have been awesome to get a video of the guy screaming "HAAAAAAARAAAA KIIIIIIIRIIIII TOOOOKIIIIIII!" followed by him stabbing himself on the interwebs.

Funny thing being that he'll consider himself even more of a failure/loser/loner because he couldn't even kill himself!

There are grainy pictures of the event on the web, but no elegant knife charge and suicide.

Heh.

Too bad the guy's gonna end up getting hung like the dude who did the Osaka massacre. You'd think the Japs would commend acts of kamikaze like bravery.

Edit: Oh, it was the 5th anniversary of the Osaka Massacre... didn't notice that, haha.

FUCK THAT DREAM RULED HARD.

This is the third time that a mass stabbing has happened this year. Crazy Japs.

Interesting societal/national psychological questions.

The whole problem is that the Hikikomori (I guess we'd call them isolationists to the 10th degree, as where some of these people haven't left the house or socialized on a personal level in literal years) are finally snapping. They've spent the last 10 years of their lives never leaving the basement, and finally realizing they've wasted their life, so in their minds the only solution is to kill themselves and everyone around them. And they all network via the same places online, and they share the ideas of social disruption through violent acts, and now they're gonna start snapping one after another.

Still one of the safest countries on earth, if it isn't for those few fucking nut jobs.

Yep, exactly. Throw in the population density of the major cities and the likelihood of being involved in one of these attacks is pretty low.

So one of the jap news sources posted his "bloggings", I think I translated it semi right, got some help from a friend on some of it though:

5:21 I'm going to kill people in Akihabara. I will crash into them with a car and when the car is finished, I'll use my knife. Goodbye everyone.
5:21 Tired.
5:34 I still have a headache.
5:35 Weather man said rain today, awful.
5:44 The worst case is that I get caught.
6:00 I am not the one being cheated, but it may be I who cheats.
6:02 I used to play the good guy and everyone believed it.
6:03 Adult's like me as I was "the good kid".
6:03 I could never make friends.
6:04 A few people got along with me, still.
6:05 Some of them kept me in contact (on their mailing list?), and that makes me feel good.
6:10 (This line makes no sense, I'll try my best...) The road is sealed, everything against me? (Definitely wrong)
6:31 It is time, let's go!
6:39 I must fight this headache.
6:49 The Rain.
6:50 And The Time.
7:30 I studied perfectly, but look at this rain! (Another confusing one).
9:41 I hope the weather gets better.
9:48 I'm in Kanagawa now, resting. (Something about being fine?)
10:53 Heavy traffic. I may be late.
11:07 Shibuya sucks.
11:17 It's sunny out here.
11:45 Arrived in Akiba.
11:45 (something about Hokoten)
12:10 It is time now!

gonna make sure I dream this whole sequence tonight!

I had a dream that I was in an house haunted by a evil witch who was trying to kill Jennifer Connelly from Phenomena and then the Hulk showed up because he was in 2003's Hulk with Jennifer Connelly.

I was expecting a six degrees of Kevin Bacon thing but perhaps I woke up before it went any further.

Hulk is in The Incredible Hulk, where Dr. Banner is played by Edward Norton
Edward Norton was in Fight Club with Brad Pitt
Brad Pitt was in Sleepers with Kevin Bacon

!!

It was the current year except we were just now going to the moon, and I kept thinking I could see the space shuttle and moon guy up there although realistically I of course, wouldn't be able too. Then my crew and I were in a huge argument over weather we should throw down for Everclear or Vodka. Then the sky got really oarnge and purple and apocalyptic.

I just took a nap and it sucked. I dreamed I left my car on the side or middle of the street to go look at this otherone I always see sitting there. The door was open but there were no keys in it. "What was I thinking? Of course there wouldn't be". But for leaving my car on a non busy street on my own damn block I got a $250 ticket.

It was awesome because I woke and and had one of those "AHHH it was just a dream" moments. I love those!

I dreamt I died this weekend. The only part of the dream I remember now is actually dying. Not how it happened, why, or any other detail. I just remember thinking to myself "damn, I only made it 28 years, now I"m dead." I felt like I wanted to be sad, but I wasn't. A very sobering dream to be sure.

gahh those moments... i only have them when things in my dreams get really bad, like when i'm about to get attacked or raped (i used to have dreams like that constantly a few years ago), and then i realize "hey, it's just a dream! i can wake up and it'll all be gone" ... it's like surfacing after being submerged in deep water or something. *shudders*

don't really remember what i dreamed this morning, but a couple of nights ago i dreamed that i was at the mall, about to go in to work at macy's, when suddenly i looked down and saw that my work clothes were green, not black (as required). sooo i ran into the clothes department and asked my coworker to help me find some black clothes real quick, all the while my arms were becoming covered in tattoos, and the line at my counter was growing very long. wasn't pleasant.

i did dream about something really funny that night though. i don't remember what it was, but i remember waking myself up with my laughter.
