Stained Class is better than any other (traditional) Metal album that I can think of, which its combination of moods, effective guitar playing, relevant and robust lead work, and fitting and well though out lyrics. It's mainly because of this album that I prefer Priest to Maiden and Sabbath (though it fluctuates between Priest and Sabbath).

The only possible ommission would have been Napalm Death. The rest - good, but no one is seriously going to vote for them as best Brit band EVER.

stained glass is great but i still think that defenders shows priest at their best or at least for a couple tracks it does. freewheel burning, jawbreaker, and the sentinel never fail to fire me up
