Silent Hill - awesomely shot and translated over from the games well enough to interest most of the die-hard SH fans while not alienating 'normal people.

The Descent - having been rock climbing & pot hole-ing before this film was frickin' nasty. Which makes it good. Also done by the dude that did Dog Soldiers so it's gonna be good anyway but somehow having an all-female cast made it a bit more shocking.

Hostel - Wicked idea, film was slightly lacking something but that bit with the achilles tendons gets me every time. Veeeery scary concept too.

I'm exactly liek this, there are not a lot of things that evoke any type of emotion other than awe (at the cgi/cinematography/etc) - but the very fact that many of the women I know are rape victims, I get extremely furious....I go black in fact.

Is that a coincidence or is it common where you are from?

I didn't see any of those movies in the poll (except the original Omens). I get scared enough watching the evening news....

Aye, I love Sci-Fi. So, I might give that film a go.
